Be it enacted by the Queen's most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1 Amendments

  1. The Taiwan Support Act 2019 is amended as such:
    • Adds a section:

      1 Definitions

      1. In this Act, "Taiwan" refers to the the government in Taipei referring to itself as the Republic of China.
      2. In this Act, "people of Taiwan" refers to the people inhabiting the territory controlled by Taiwan.

2 Commencement and extent

  1. This Act applies to the entirety of the United Kingdom.
  2. This Act may be cited as the Taiwan Support (Amendment) Act 2020.
  3. This Act comes into force upon royal assent.
