Be it enacted by the Queen's most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1 Definitions

The Royal Navy refers to Her Majesty's Naval Service of the British Armed Forces.

2 Procurement of Military Equipment

  1. The Royal Navy shall procure two (2) Queen Elizabeth-class aircraft carriers at a cost of no more than 3 billion dollars each. The Royal Navy shall use these aircraft carriers as deterrence against further attacks on friendly vessels.
  2. The Royal Navy shall procure 72 (seventy-two) F-35 Lightning II aircraft at a cost of no more than 100 million dollars per aircraft. The Royal Navy shall use these aircraft as deterrence against further attacks on friendly vessels.

3 Short title, commencement and extent

  1. This Act may be cited as the Defense Expansion Act 2021.
  2. This Act comes into force on the passing of this Act.
  3. This Act extends to the whole of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and its Overseas Territories.
